We have stayed in two places so far; both were exactly what we expected from the pictures and description. The apartment in Seville was in the heart of La Macarena, a traditional part of the city where we enjoyed being during Holy Week; it was a lot cheaper than being in the main tourist areas close to the Cathedral. In Malaga we loved the quirky unit with a jacuzzi and interesting furniture even though it had very low ceilings. Liked the state-of-the-art washing machine.

We used Housetrip because we have been disillusioned with alternative sites and booking hotels that didn’t live up to their reviews and star ratings. We believe that those reviews are very often open to manipulation by the hotels themselves, they don’t reflect true experiences, and therefore can’t be relied upon. The Housetrip method of leaving a review seems to overcome any possible abuse and consequently able to be trusted as a more realistic interpretation of what one may expect.

I have stayed in several appartments found on house trip and have never had any problems or reason for complaint the apartments and hosts have always been great.
