Phuket International Academy PIASLC Matches Up With Brazilian Soccer Schools for a Friendly

Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) is now established in Phuket, Thailand, at the Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC). The highly regarded youth soccer training programme is available at the preeminent sports and recreation facility in Southeast Asia.

Successful BSS uses Futebol de Salao (FDS). The training and game is known for a 5-a-side version of football originally from South America. FDS is played with a smaller (size 2), and a little heavier (465gm) ball that has virtually no bounce to it. The game of Futebol de Salão became popular in Brazil where legendary players such as Pele, Rivelino, Zico and right through to Juninho, Ronaldo, and Rivaldo were brought up first playing FDS before moving onto mainstream football. They all credit that Futebol de Salão developed soccer skills. The International Confederation of Futebol de Salao (ICFDS), established Brazilian Football Academies and Soccer Schools in the UK, and now supervise the game throughout the world, and have started professionally managed centre’s in many countries.

The PIASLC Brazilian Soccer Camps are a skills-based training system that is available all year long with scheduling around school breaks. The soccer camps consist of daily training with the effective FDS moves to beat players also incorporating turns, passing, juggling and core skills. The Brazilian Soccer Schools system is intended for boys and girls aged between the ages of 5-18 with a well thought out syllabus and training program specific to each age group and each ability level within the various age groups. Training is skill centered, task focused and has complete engagement.

The central aim of Brazilian Soccer Camp is to encourage children to put in more time with the ball practicing and developing new skills. Brazilian Soccer Camp uses a unique weighted size 2 ball for most of training, this is proven to aid children’s development and confidence.
