Love the photo. Is there no Swedish bakery in the Boston area? Wow. I thought maybe Worcester. I have to get Swedish baked goods from the Swedish Bakery in Andersonville, but I now live near Chicago. I guess I’m just sad that it’s getting more difficult to find the foods we love. So happy to see such a festival in New England, my home.
No Swedish bakeries left in the Boston area. There is one in Worcester. There used to be one in Arlington that shut down the late 1970s. My family would frequent it often… to where my parents swear my first word as a toddler was "bakery".
As an ex-Chicago-ite, I still order from the Andersonville bakery for Christmas.
Oh, I see! I’m from Connecticut, where we used to have some bakeries and Swedish food stores in the central CT area, and I also remembered that there were a lot of Swedes in Worcester! As you may know, Andersonville lost Wikstrom’s Deli. They were on the internet, but I couldn’t find them this year. God Jul – early for next year!
