Compare different sites, but it’s always cheap & best also safe to book directly from the official website of the airline.

Helps to know what your point of origin is – however, and VERY generally, the best prices tend to be from 3 months to 3 weeks before your intended departure date. Of course, peak travel days sell out early and occasionally you might be able to get last-minute deals but rule of thumb is buy early to get cheap. I bought my ticket to New York for Thanksgiving Day weekend back in January. I am glad I did because prices have almost tripled since then!

Try Hotwire and Kayak, these sites are the best.

There is no one best site. Sometimes using a low-cost airline is the best way to go but they do not partner up with the major travel websites. You can start off with the airline websites of JetBlue, Southwest, AirTran, Frontier, Spirit, Allegiant, Virgin America. You can also try http://www.kayak.com.

I would download this free application: http://www.myshoppingenie.com/cheapstuff basically what this app does is every time you search for a product on google/yahoo/bing, it will automatically search the whole internet for the cheapest price of what you are looking for. I got a few plane tickets at an awesome prices using it. Check it out! it hasn’t disappointing me so far. Let me know if you need anything else. it will also search amazon, ebay, and craigslist. If that does work, try expedia

I have heard that you should book it 21 days in advance for cheap tickets, but I have found cheaper flights 3-4 months in advance. Also try to look for travel on Tues./Wed.

No one site has the cheapest rates all the time. I use the three websites listed above and have always been able to find a good deal.
(Jet blue does not fly to sweden)

There are so many airfare sites out there! It seems to me some of them list low prices but have a ton of fees. I found a website that did some research on which site conistently offers the lowest. The website is a little cheaply done, but the info is good: http://www.rightflight.org

First you will need to get to a mayor airport to get a better deal. Spokano, Portaland, Seattle, etc.
