With today’s announcement by the DOT that new customer service rules are now in place (including one that forces airlines to refund bag fees if they lose your luggage and an extension of the 3-hour tarmac delay rule now applying to international carriers), Airfarewatchdog’s George Hobica weighs in: 1. Refund of bag fees if luggage is lost This is an absolute no brainer and too bad the airlines had to be regulated into doing this.
